The newly developed Centrifugal Vacuum Dryer ZT 12 has got a capacity of 36 microtiter plates with the dimensions 5,12x3,54x2 or 288 test tubes 0,63 diam. x 5,9 inch H or 12 x 0,8 quart glasses.

The centrifugal accelleration is chosen that way that boiling or foaming of the samples is prevented.

The swing-out rotor runs in a heated centrifuge chamber made of stainless steel. The wall heating is infinitely variable up to +176°F.

Between the centrifugal area and the solvent condenser there is a solenoid valve with a bif cross section. The condensation area is cooled down up to -58°F. Only the non-condensable steam (air) get to the air intake of the vacuum pump.

This system consisting of heated centrifuge chamber, deep-frozen condenser and vacuum pump is complete and interesting regarding efficiency by a clever process controll. A microprocessor has got the task to get the necessary evaporative energy into the product to enable a quick drying under vacuum.

Short drying times with quantitive solvent bond is a result with which our new development can impress.
