Fully Automatic Capillary Viscosity Meter - VISCOMAT


The Viscomat works on the capillary principle, which is the most exact method for the determination of viscosity. The time, which is necessary for a defined volume of a liquid to pass throw a capillary at a known pressure differential and defined temperature is measured. A determination of the density is not necessary. Therewith the Viscomat allows a direct measurement of the dynamic viscosity. The resulting viscosity is indicated in millipascal-seconds (mPas).

Granomat - Fully Automatic Moisture Meter for Whole Grains

The Granomat is according to the international technical recommendations of the OIML (Organization for approved measuring); It belongs to category A, class II. The Granomat measures the capacity (dielectric constant) of the whole grain sample. It determines the moisture of the product as well as the bulk density (specific weight) of the whole corn. Grinding of the sample is not necessary. The Granomat can test all cereals, legumes, oil seeds, maize and malt. The memory stores up to 100 different calibrations. The sample volume is 600 ml.

The measurement is fully automatic. The user puts the sample into the funnel of the Granomat, chooses the requested product and presses the key MEASURE. The input of a sample identification is also possible. The Granomat fills the measurement cell automatically. This guarantees a constant bulk density. The stripping device removes the grains which are not necessary for the measurement and provides for a constant volume. The measurement of the capacity, weight and temperature of the sample is carried out within a couple of seconds. These three parameters have an influence on the result. The measurement cell is discharged and the sample falls into the drawer and can be used for further analysis. The Granomat indicates the measured product moisture, the bulk density (expressed in kg/hl) and the temperature of the sample and prints the results by means of the integrated printer.

Two serial and a parallel interface for the connection to an external printer or to a PC are integrated into the instrument. The Grano-mat carries out a self-test automatically and checks its accuracy by means of the measurement of internal comparative capacities after switching on. It is sturdy and maintenance-free. The modular construction gua-rantees a high ease of servicing.

New product curves can be programmed directly by means of reference samples with known moisture content via the PC-programme GranoMaster. The programme supports the graphic preparation of the calibration curve for the new product. It runs under Windows 3.11, Windows 95 and Windows NT.

Seed Counter CONTADOR


For the determination of the weight per thousand corns of seeds and for the preparation of samples for germination and cultivation tests.

For the rationalization of larger sample quantities we recommend the filling station Contapack, with carousel for bags and bottles (option). Seed counter CONTADOR The feed container is held in place by an electromagnet and vibration induced during counting. The material to be counted reaches the outlet and falls into the receptacle through a photoelectronic counter.

The Contador selects its counting speed automatically dependent on the size of the material to be counted. This guarantees optimum use of the counting capacity and reduces counting time to a minimum whilst maintaining count accuracy. Shortly before counting is completed the CONTADOR reduces its counting speed so that no more seeds are counted than have been preset. Counting speed may also be manually adjusted. The instrument can recognize when the receptacle or the feed container is absent, stops counting and reports the fact on the display so that no operating faults occur. Particles which are significantly smaller in size are not counted. Thus, for example, rape seeds in a sample of peas drop into the receptacle without being counted. By manually adjusting the seed size it is possible to control the counting of particles.

The display shows in automatic mode the preset quantity and the count so far. In manual mode it also shows the counting speed selected and the seed size. The keyboard is used to select various modes of operation, such as summation counting and differential counting. Display no. 1 for rape, seeds and small seeds. no. 2 for cereals, sunflower seeds and rye and no. 3 for maize, field beans and peas.

Filling Station - CONTAFILL


The semi-automatic filling station is an additional equipment for the seed counter CONTADOR.

 fills all kinds of paper or plastic bags, plastic or glass bottles

 offers continuous fill by immediate removal of filled bags or automatic stop when all the bags on the carousel are full.

Pour selected seed i.e. barley, into the correct feed container, for barley container 2 and place on Contador. Fit bags or bottles to each position on the carousel and secure with the clips. Select on the Contador the required quantity per bag to be filled and press the button to start. The Contador starts and counts the required number into the first bag. Bag change is signalled by a beep-tone. For longer runs replace the filled bags with an empty one as soon as it is filled (continuous operation).

For shorter runs a second carousel can be fitted with bags whilst the other is running on the machine. The carousels are changed over when the machine stops after filling the first 10 bags. The optional carousel stand makes this proceeding easier. This ensures minimum stoppage during the filling operation.

Via an electronic sensor the Contador knows automatically if a bag is in position or not and prevents the valuable seeds from being scattered on the floor. By this means it is also possible, for example, to fill only 3 or 5 bags on the filling station if required.
