Automatic Weather Stations Link Metos Weather stations to your desktop or portable computer and you will have a powerful decision making tool! Information on climate is of vital importance for every farming operation and influences almost every daily operation. Our weather stations can be accessed with the latest communication possibilities: Notebook, Modem, Radio. Satellite, and direct line will open complete new cost effective applications in many fields. Metos weather stations can be used as a single and/or network station. The automatic microclimate logging provides the opportunity of making the right decision at the correct time, communicate better with your consultant, because of the easy and effective way in which weather data files can be exchanged. It gives the security to have made the best decision at the right time. Every unit has alarm ports which can be programmed through the PC which will alert the user when a dangerous situation (i.e. frost warning, plant protection need etc. ) has accurred or is about to happen. The alarms can automatically be used to start or stop pump stations (i.e. irrigation applications) and/or be sent by modem to alert a group of people of some event such as frost warning etc. The software runs under Windows and uses modern standardized data bases (Paradox). These data bases will allow you to directly use the data in various other programs and formats such as Excel, dBase, Access etc. and/or in different prognostic models. Metos Compact
Metos Compact is the modern "work horse" of the warning and monitoring service. The station can accept many of additional sensors and consists of a single watertight (IP65) enclosure where the power, sensors and datalogging system is integrated. The data transfer is handled as with all other models through the standardized RS 232 interface. All-around meteorological climate station supporting in total 14 sensors :

Micro Metos
Instantaneous read out of Disease & Pest warnings, crop specific evapotranspiration frost, fire warnings, climate studies and many more... Micro Metos is designed to support growers with real time data on daily crop water consumption and precipitation over a complete growing season. The instrument will automatically calculate the ET crop based on temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and global radiation and transform this data into ET crop. micro Metos is designed to be very flexible and open for new applications to come. Site specific frost warnings, bush fire warnings, climatic studies etc. The two lines 16 character display on the Metos shows you the climate data and all the disease simulation results in real time. Simple to service and use as all functions are available by one rotary switch and two buttons. Easy to transport, easy to mount and disassemble. The data logger together with the sensors for temparature, relative humidity, brightness and solar radiation, has only a height of 270mm(11.7 in) and is 115mm (5 in) in diameter. Communication & Pest Warning Systems Reliable and efficient data transfer by radio for all METOS weather stations (single or network solution) One of the most effective ways of transmitting data is by radio modem. With the METOS-technology we are able to offer a modem at low cost, low power consumption, highly reliable, with different frequencies and connected directly into the Metos RS232 Interface in a rugged IP65 protected case. As standard a quarter wave whip aerial is supplied which is suitable for short and medium range (7 km or 5 Miles) applications. Every unit acts (if ordered), as a radio relay for other units, thus making possible almost unlimited wireless telemetry point to point links. The distance between two points varies on the conditions of the terrain and the antennas height, ranging from 7 up to 20 km (5 to 12 miles). MET-Win SoftwareThe program works under the graphic WINDOWS platform and will give accurate, site specific warnings regarding best timing for disease and pest management, and use of herbicides and insecticides in different crops or turf. MetWin is based on the easy to learn and use Windows format and requires and IBM-PC or IBM compatible Personal computer or Portable (higher than 80386) with VGA colour monitor, and free hard disk of at least 10 MB. The premise is that for the start of many fungal diseases special climatic conditions must be fulfilled in order the infection take place and the disease to spread. Many fungal diseases can only be treated during the time between infection and appearance of the symptoms (Incubation period). The program uses daily actual weather data from the weather station in the field. With this information the PC will give accurate information about the infections risk during this period.
