Metos® Instruments India Pvt. Ltd. was established on 29th January 1996 by taking over the business connected to Metos Automatic Weather Station from S. V. Instruments Biomedical who were exclusively marketing Metos instruments since 1992. The company is promoted jointly by Goel Group India (Dr. V.K. Goel and his family) and Pessl Instruments Weiz Austria (Mr. Gottfried Pessl).

Besides marketing Metos Automatic Weather Stations and pest warning system the company has also taken up marketing of products in Weather Monitoring, Environmental Pollution, Solar Energy & other instruments related to Agriculture and Engineering. It is proposed to manufacture various products in collaboration with foreign collaborators.
